Venturing Summit 2009

We’re approaching the Summit – our fun-filled weekend getaway for Venturing!  

 

Coming August 14-16 at Bovay Scout Ranch, The Summit promises to have lots of activities to keep you and all you friends busy.  You will even make new friends while you’re there.  This will be a great opportunity for a last bash before school starts again.

 

We’ll have field games like kickball and volley ball for you to play.  You’ll be able to shoot clay pigeons at the shooting range and we’ll have sunfish on the lake for small boat sailing!  To cool off, the pool will be open all day and we’ll have a dive-in movie in the evening.

 

There are many Venturers in the Council who have done great things this year and they’ll be recognized with the Venturing Leadership Award at our Annual Venturing Banquet to be held Saturday evening .  After the banquet, there will be a dance and more fun and games into the night including a campfire!

 

Venturers and guests  can come for the entire weekend, Friday evening through Sunday morning, or just attend the Saturday activities.  You can even come just for the Banquet.

 

Be sure to sign up now – late fees kick in on all registration postmarked after August 1!
