Houston Arboretum

The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center is located near Memorial Park, and contains an exhibition center and great nature trails. Admission to the center and trails is free. There is a fee for the classes. For Boy Scouts:
The Arboretum offers classes that cover parts of the following merit badges: Reptile & Amphibian StudyThese classes are 9:00a to 2:30p, with a lunch break. The fee is $20 per class. The classes cover most but not all of the requirements for each badge. The Arboretum website (see below) offers a description of each class and states which parts of the requirements must be completed outside of the class.
