|
The "Cub Leader Specific" course is designed for any adult who is currently serving as or who intends to become a Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmaster, Den Leader, Assistant Den Leader, Pack Committee Chair, or any other adult leadership position in a pack or den. The course is also beneficial for parents who simply desire a better understanding of how the Cub Scouting program functions. This course has three segments. The first segment is "Introduction to Scouting" and is followed by "How We Have Fun".
These two initial segments take about 3 hrs and cover topics that are common to all Cub Scout positions. The third segment is a breakout session that is specific for each leadership position. The position specific courses are are as follows:
If your scouting position changes, you should take the next appropriate course. If you have already taken "Introduction to Scouting" and "How We Have Fun" (or "New Leader Essentials" which was the previous version of these two segments), you can simply arrive at 11:00am for your next position specific training. Prior to taking this course, a participant should take "Fast Start" and "This Is Scouting" both of which are offer on-line. For more info, click here. |
