Outdoor Webelos Leader Training
(also known as Outdoor Leader Skills for Webelos Leaders)

OWL is designed for any Webelos leader who will be involved in camping or other outdoor activities.
This course is also good Bear leaders who will become Webelos leaders.

This is a one-day course, usually conducted in town.  The course covers the skills related to several
of the Webelos activity pins, as well as general camping skills.  This course also highlights the
transition from Cub Scouting to the boy-led patrol system used in Troops.  The participants share
ideas for age-appropriate activities for Webelos.

Webelos leaders may also wish to consider the course Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills.
The IOLS course involves a weekend campout and covers the outdoor skills in greater detail.
While OWL focuses on Webelos, IOLS focuses on the outdoor skills required for the Boy Scout ranks
of Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class.  For additional info on the IOLS course, click here.
